SOS Collab Project Setup Steps
SOS Collab Admin has the task of setting up and administering the SOS Collab system.
To set up an SOS Collab system, the Admin must define projects, users and groups, set up categories and values for bug tracking, and configure source code repositories, serial numbers, and access controls lists.
Logging in as Admin
When you log into SOS Collab after you have installed the Servers, use Admin as your username and use the password you configured for the SOS Collab Admin account during SOS Collab Servers installation.
If you are using the Windows Client use the default non-secure port, 16436 or the default secure port, 16434, unless you configured different ports during installation or by using the SOS Collab Server Manager.
You do not need to use the Web Server Override option unless the SOS Collab Web Server is installed on a different machine than the SOS Primary Server.
(Please Note: If you forget the Admin password, you will not be able to access SOS Collab. For information about resetting the Admin password, see the Support FAQ on the SourceGear website.)
Steps for SOS Collab Setup
By following the steps below (in order), the SOS Collab System Admin will prepare SOS Collab for use.
After the system is set up, you can access these Admin areas to change settings or add information as the need arises.
For the minimum configuration needed for an SOS Collab system, see Getting Started with SOS Collab.
