Set Up the UNIX EnvironmentThere are four different packages of the Unix Client. The packages are for Red Hat Linux, Debian Linux, Solaris and other Unix environments.
The Red Hat, Debian and Solaris packages are dynamically-linked versions, while the Linux Tar archive package is statically-linked.
If any problems are experienced installing either of the dynamically-linked Linux versions, we suggest installing the statically-linked version of the client (the Linux Tar archive package).
It’s recommended that you uninstall previous versions of the SOS Unix client before installing 4.0.
