Download the required edition of the SourceOffSite Linux Client <sos_client_linux_….tar.gz>.
As superuser, open the archive as follows:
gunzip -c sos_client_linux_….tar.gz | tar xvf
Alternatively, if your tar command supports the ’z’ flag, open the archive as follows:
tar xvzf sos_client_linux_….tar.gz
Both these commands will create the "sos-4.0" directory.
After GTK and GLIB have been properly installed, run the "install.sh" script that is in the sos-4.0 directory.
