SOS Collab System Requirements

Users accessing the Microsoft Visual SourceSafe database must be licensed VSS users.

Server

• Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP
  (Please Note: There is no server for Win 95/98/ME.)
• Minimum 256 MB RAM
• 500 MHZ processor
• 500 MB hard drive space*
• One static IP address or hostname
• Microsoft® Visual SourceSafe (VSS) 6.0 APIs (installed with VSS 6.0 Client)
• VSS database on same machine or same LAN as the SOS Collab Server
• Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or later, Microsoft Data Engine 1.0 (MSDE), or MSDE 2000.

*SOS Collab requires space for the application, attachments, logs and data that will be added to the system over time. Depending on the size of your development team and your project, you may need more than 500 MB of disk space.

Client

• Windows 98/NT/2000/ME/XP
  (Please Note: Win95 is not supported)
• 64 MB RAM
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, IE 5.5 recommended
• A TCP/IP network connection between the Client and the Server
