Service Manager

The SOS Collab Service Manager is a taskbar application that provides convenient access to the SOS Collab Server Services and Server Administration.

The Service Manager is included in the SOS Collab Servers installation. On installation a shortcut to the Service Manager is added to the server machine's Startup folder so that the Service Managers starts up automatically. If you do not want the Service Manager to start up automatically, remove the shortcut from the Startup folder.

The Service Manager can also be launched from the Start menu of the machine hosting the SOS Collab Primary Server. The Service Manager entry is found under Start->Programs->Source OffSite Collaborative Edition->SourceOffSite Collab Service Manager.

When the Service Manager is running, an icon appears in the area of the taskbar clock on the right of the taskbar. Right-click on the Service Manager icons to access the following menu:

Primary Server -- Allows the user to start, stop and restart the SOS Collab Primary Server.
Web Server -- Allows the user to start, stop and restart the SOS Collab Web Server.
Server Administration -- Opens the SOS Collab Server Manager.
Exit -- Removes the Service Manager icon from the taskbar.
