branched, the share link is broken and the changes made to that file are not

To Branch a single or multiple shared files, select the file(s) from the File List. Click Branch or choose the Branch command from either the Source menu or by right-clicking the selected file(s). Add any comments to the Branch Comment dialog box and then click OK.
