SourceCode Control Change Comments

SourceCode Control Change Comments are special comments that are posted when a user updates a Dragnet Item during either a Vault or SourceOffSite checkin. See the Bug Tracking Integration section of Vault or SourceOffSite help for more information about updating Dragnet Items during a checkin operation.

SourceCode Control Change Comments include a table that contains a list of files that were updated during the checkin along with the version number of the file that was checked in. The comment may also contain the change comment the user entered at the time of checkin if the user chose to add the checkin comment.

     Change comments will have the following format:

     Change Set Comment

Posted by <username> <date posted>

This item was updated as part of a checkin operation.
The checkin comment was:

<checkin comment>

The files modified were:

<checked in files table>

Vault

If using Vault integration, Vault must be configured as your SourceCode Control provider on the Dragnet Setup page.

For Vault change set comments, the files and version numbers in the checked in files table will be displayed as links.

Clicking on a filename in Vault file table will go to that files history page in the Vault Web client.

Clicking on the version number link will go to the Diff from previous version page in the Vault Web client.

SourceOffSite

If using SourceOffSite for integration, SourceOffSite should be configured as your SourceCode Control provider on the Dragnet Setup page.

For SourceOffSite change set comments, the file paths and file version numbers in the checked in files table will be displayed.
